New HIQA and MHC online learning module to support adult safeguarding in health and social care services

Today, HIQA and the Mental Health Commission have launched an online learning module to support front-line staff to understand and implement the National Standards for Adult Safeguarding. These standards apply to all health and social care services, recognising that people using these services move in and between services.

The module aims to promote good practice in the area, while also addressing knowledge and skills gaps identified through extensive stakeholder engagement throughout the standards development process. It contains self-reflection questions to help staff to think about how they are already applying the standards, identify areas they may be able to improve and how they might set about doing that.

This digital learning course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete and can be accessed through the HIQA webpage here.

Please share this link with your colleagues and any groups, or individuals, you think would be interested in this module.
